Full Dentures

Full Dentures are a set of removable false teeth (usually made of acrylic, nylon or metal) that are designed to fit over gums to replace any missing teeth.

  • Friendly and supportive manner from all staff
  • Creating bespoke, comfortable dentures – unique for each individual
  • Necessary for health, your appearance and your social life

How Full Dentures are Fitted
If you have had all or most of your top or bottom teeth removed then you will need a full denture fitted.
If you have dentures fitted immediately after several teeth are removed then you’ll probably need to have them remade after a few months, due to gums and bones altering in shape. An accurate mould will be made of your mouth so that your dentures can be made to fit, and initially a trial denture will be created for you. This will be tried out in your mouth to check for any alterations, and the shape and colour might be adjusted before the final denture is made.

When to see your dentist

You should still continue to see your dentist regularly even if you have dentures so that they can check you for any issues.

You should see your dentist as soon as possible if:

  • You notice your dentures clicking when you talk
  • Your dentures feel like they’re slipping or don’t fit properly
  • Your dentures have become visibly worn or feel uncomfortable
  • You have begun to show signs of gum disease or tooth decay (like bad breath or bleeding gums)

Why should I get dentures?

If you feel that you have spent a small fortune on your teeth but are no further forward, then we would like the opportunity to help you. The most basic pleasure in life is eating and enjoying your food. It is necessary for health, your appearance and your social life.

If, after all of this, you don’t have enough jaw bone to support your beautiful new denture, then perhaps dental implants may be the answer.

Reasons to have your dentures replaced:

Do you:

  • Find smiling embarrassing dentures, as the dentures don’t look like your natural teeth?
  • Feel that the gums don’t look real?
  • Feel embarrassed to be intimate with someone in case they become aware that you are wearing dentures?
  • Feel like your dentures look plastic with a row of piano keys for teeth?
  • Suffer from problems eating due to loose dentures?
  • Suffer from denture sores that make talking or eating a misery?
  • Have a lack of confidence to eat certain foods in case your dentures can’t cope; maybe even sticking together or falling out?
  • Have to limit your choices on the menu to what your teeth can cope with rather than what you want to eat?

I was looking for a holistic dentist who could offer a metal free implant, i.e. a zirconium implant. As a result of Neeraj Puri using laser technology during the treatment I found that there was almost no swelling and very little pain immediately after the dental surgery. After having had dental work over a number of years with other dentists, I can honestly say that Neeraj’s advice and technical ability is second to none. As a result, I now have a metal free zirconium implant which is functioning perfectly and has fully integrated into my jaw just like a natural tooth.
