Taking the guesswork out of dentistry
For years, dental occlusion (the way teeth meet in a patient’s mouth) had been largely a matter of guesswork for dentists. Articulation paper (that carbon paper you bite on) was all dentists had to assess and balance the forces of occlusion. This method is not sensitive enough to detect simultaneous contact, and it does not measure either biting time or force. Tekscan met the challenge by developing the T-Scan III.
