Prevention
The best way to treat dental problems is not to have them in the first place! Our Hygienist will advise you how to maintain your mouth by demonstrating the latest advances in hygiene techniques. You will be offered dietary and nutritional advice to help prevent dental disease and up to date information on supplements to help strengthen your teeth.
Fissure Sealants
Fissure sealing may be carried out to prevent dental disease on the biting surfaces of teeth. Firstly the tooth is cleaned to remove debris. We then bond a very thin film of protective sealant onto the tooth. This is a simple and painless procedure offered to children from around the age of 7.
Gum Treatments
Most adults suffer from some form of gum disease and most are unaware of their condition. Often, all that is needed is a thorough hygiene treatment, which will remove harmful plaque bacteria and surface stains – this will make an immediate noticeable difference. You will then receive personalised oral hygiene instruction to keep the disease under control using daily home care routines.
A session with the hygienist will result in your mouth feeling clean and fresh. You will leave with a confident sparkling smile.
Gum Disease
More advanced gum problems can be treated in a number of ways tailored to meet individual requirements. Treatments can be carried out using ultra sonic scalers (a state of the art-cleansing tool), or hand instruments to remove the softer plaque and the harder calculus (tartar), which are the main causes of gum disease.
Regular Visits
By visiting the hygienist regularly gum disease can be controlled and treated at an early stage avoiding the unnecessary loss of teeth or other dental treatment. The consultation will determine how many visits will be required to suit you.
Membership to the Manor Maintenance Plan includes two examinations and two visits to the hygienist every year and additional visits to the Hygienist can be arranged if required at a discounted rate.
The Hygiene team at Integrated Dentalcare are continually training and developing their skills and will keep you up to date with new techniques and advances in dental treatments when you visit.
